Riverfront Drift Sculpture, Paul HassfurderPaul Hassfurder works in a variety of mediums and materials, both 2-D and 3-D constructions. In his Riverfront series he walks the river banks after high water to find interesting drift that can be combined to transform into large scale sculpture. Examples would be – a couple of tires and several curved limbs become a life sized sports car, painted blue, with roses for taillights, or a large trunk and root system becomes a setting elk or large insect. Transformation is the key.
