Muscatatuck Park

In 1921 this acreage became Indiana’s 4th state park, Vinegar Mill. It was named for an old mill used to cut stone during the pioneer days along the Muscatatuck River. Today the park belongs to Jennings County and offers camping, shelter houses, fishing, basketball and sand volleyball courts, open fields, playground, picnic areas, wildlife marshes, bouldering, hiking and mountain biking trails. The park is also home to the Walnut Grove One Room Schoolhouse and the Jennings County Visitors Center. While at the park you can visit the Vinegar Mill site and its picturesque shelter.
