Lanier Mansion State Historic Site

A National Historic Landmark often referred to as the “crown jewel” of Madison’s Historic District, this State Historic Site features the 1844 Greek Revival home of financier James F.D. Lanier. Tours available at regular intervals between 9am and 4pm, and private tours may be scheduled with 2-week notice. In addition to mansion tours, visitors also enjoy the recreated formal gardens in the South Lawn and the Lanier Mansion Shop located in the Visitors Center across the street. Su-Sa 9am-4pm: Gardens Dawn to Dusk year round Adults $4; seniors $3.50; children $2. Gardens & grounds free except during special events & exhibits.
