Fort Vallonia Days

Third weekend in October, Sa-Su Hours vary (booths open until sundown)

The site of an early military settlement on an old Indian trail, the original Fort Vallonia stockade was built in 1812 by order of General William Henry Harrison, Governor of the Indiana Territory, for the protection of area settlers. A large annual heritage celebration raises funds to maintain the recreated Fort, grounds and museum and offers a variety of craft and food booths, flea markets, and entertainment for the entire family. Who wouldn’t enjoy a Tomahawk Throw or a Persimmon Pudding Eating Contest?
