Leticia Bajuyo Studio

Growing up and living in the Midwest, specifically in areas that often feel in-between other places, the landscape and the pace of rural communities has influenced Leticia Bajuyo’s aesthetics. Additionally, growing up in a biracial, bicultural, and bilingual household helped generate Bajuyo’s interest in blending and combining dissimilar ideas and materials in search of commonalities. In her sculptural work, questions about happiness and perspective materialize in objects such as soap or bus stops and in activities such as playing board games and mowing grass. Leticia is an Associate Professor of Art at Hanover College.
